Testimonials

This therapy has helped me tremendously in integrating my body and mind, recognizing and regulating bodily emotional reactions. Movement therapy has given me new tools for understanding myself, and I’ve gained many valuable insights along the way. The therapy sessions have always felt open and safe – a space where even sensitive topics can be explored without fear of judgment. Movement therapy, talk therapy, and various exercises have been well-balanced according to my wishes and needs, making the process truly effective and holistic. She is empathetic, a great listener, and always respectful. Communication with her is easy and natural, and she genuinely considers my wishes and needs. I can warmly recommend her to anyone looking to deepen the connection between body and mind and develop better self-regulation.

Thanks so much for your service. My daughter likes coming to your therapy sessions.
After attending your sessions, she feels much more emotionally stable. She doesn't get angry easily like before and is more able to control her emotions. I hope you will remember my daughter and let me know when you are back in Hong Kong, and maybe you can resume your therapy work with her.

I have known Queenie since she started her MA in Dance Movement Psychotherapy at the University of Derby in the UK. I have been a Lecturer and Supervisor for Queenie throughout her training. Queenie has maintained contact since her training and it is always a pleasure to hear how she is doing.

Since knowing Queenie I have experienced her as energetic and well-motivated. She has always been keen to develop herself as an individual and also professionally, getting feedback from others and maintaining a reflective approach. Queenie’s open and friendly manner support her in developing positive friendships where she is supportive of others.

In her work Queenie demonstrates empathy towards others and has a gentle but assertive nature. She relates well to young people and vulnerable individuals with her person-centred approach. Queenie really cares about the well-being and development of an individual, she will strive to support individuals in the best way she can. Queenie works towards high standards and will always ensure she understands what is expected of her. Her creative approach allows her to work flexibly and meet the needs of her clients or learners. Queenie will respond well to changing circumstances and she will research background theoretical knowledge in areas where she is less familiar. Queenie is able to follow policies and procedures as demonstrated during her training where she followed the ethical guidelines set out by the Association for Dance Movement Psychotherapists and the UK Council for Psychotherapists.

Queenie is keen to develop herself professionally and learn new skills, she responds well to constructive feedback and appreciates a supportive environment in which she can flourish. Queenie speaks good English and she was able to develop this further during her MA training through her curious and reflective approach.

Through a mutual friend's introduction, we had the pleasure of getting to know Queenie, a dance therapist. I greatly admire her expertise in this field, and as a result, we invited her to conduct a dance therapy workshop for our church's youth fellowship. Particularly, during a period when Hong Kong was experiencing a series of social movement events, many of us were carrying a considerable burden of negative emotions. Through the use of music, dance, and various physical movements, we were able to freely express emotions that are difficult to put into words. The workshop was a resounding success, and it allowed our fellowship members to enjoy themselves while releasing pent-up emotions. Queenie's guidance in trying various exercises was very relaxed and accommodating. Even those who had never been exposed to dance therapy felt at ease participating. Therefore, we wholeheartedly recommend her dance therapy workshops, as her professionalism and approachable nature made it an unforgettable experience for us

The first time I was introduced to dance therapy through the church fellowship, I found it to be a fascinating form of therapy. It's not commonly heard of in Hong Kong, and the word "therapy" can make people feel apprehensive. However, the therapy process is quite relaxing, and there isn't too much pressure involved. So, my fellow brothers and sisters felt at ease expressing and showcasing their inner selves through various movements.

Since our fellowship time is limited, I look forward to learning more about it in the future. I appreciate Queenie for volunteering to arrange this for our fellowship. 😊 💪

Queenie excels in managing students' learning differences. While there are multiple types of SEN students, including ASD and ADHD, she works to proceed with the therapy sessions while bringing the students' attention together. Ms. Pun is flexible in adjusting the approach and materials to stimulate the therapy process. Throughout her period of service in our agency, Ms. Pun has been enthusiastic, and accessible proving herself conscientious and patient are most deserving of having a place in the Creative Arts Psychotherapy industry.

Queenie was a quick and confident learner. She is honest and open with us and we were comfortable to give and receive feedback regarding her work and needs. As a person, we find her open-minded and warm-hearted, very sociable and easy to get along with. We have seen how she is willing to work hard and make the necessary sacrifices to reach her goals. We wish her the very best in her endeavour.

Participating in a dance therapy experience class for the first time was akin to embarking on a thrilling roller coaster ride. Initially, we were all a bit reserved, shying away from the idea of letting loose. But as the session progressed, we began to unleash the pent-up energy within our bodies, gradually revealing our wild, uninhibited sides.

The exercises designed by our instructor, Queenie, were impeccable in their clarity and purpose. The overarching goal was to encourage self-expression right from the start and then engage in synchronized movement with others. This process allowed us to sense the profound interactions between individuals and provided us with valuable insights into our usual interpersonal dynamics. What made the experience truly exhilarating was the fact that we were a group of friends who already knew each other so well. Witnessing our usually reserved friends step forward with newfound confidence to speak up and lead the dance was nothing short of a pleasant surprise.

Throughout this journey, I made an intriguing discovery - our bodies and their movements are inherently brimming with creativity. I wholeheartedly recommend this experience, particularly for teams looking to foster greater cooperation, mutual understanding, and stimulate creativity. I firmly believe that the insights gained from such an experience can be incredibly valuable and transformative.

I really like Queenie’s creative therapy approach.

I was skeptical and hesitant about trying out movement in the beginning, until she recommended writing lyrics in our sessions - I didn’t, but I ended up with writing my own songs (yes, with lyrics) and releasing them, and even having people like them.

The movement thing came naturally after music came back to my body and started flowing.

I told people my therapist is my muse! I like how Queenie gradually, naturally and comfortably utilized these creative approaches to help me connect with myself.

I even loved the drawings. And I love exploring new ways of movements. It wasn’t easy for me to get there but now I look forward to my sessions every week.
